Signing up and getting started


How do I create a diggmeup account?
  • Diggmeup is your universal digital identity where you can list all your social profiles: both personal and business to increase your discoverability.
  • You can download the mobile app on iOS and Android phones, as well as access it from the website diggmeup.com

  • To create a Diggmeup account from the app:
  • Download the Diggmeup app for iOS from the App Store or Android from Google Play Store; Once the app is installed, open it.
  • Tap Sign Up, login either with your Facebook or Twitter account, You will be prompted to log into your Facebook/Twitter account if you're currently logged out.
  • Incase you want to sign up with a different Facebook account, you will need to log out of your facebook account and log into the desired facebook account you want to signup your Diggmeup account from.

  • To create a Username and get started, there will be a guided walkthrough:
  • Choose a Username you would like to be identified with.
  • People will be able to find you and identify you through this username. eg: If your name is John Smith, it will make sense to have your username as @JohnSmith or @JohnSmith23.
  • Remember usernames can be changed only a couple of times, so avoid using names which are different than your names.
  • Fill in your basic details like website, location and a small bio which tells a bit about yourself.
  • More details will increase your SEO in our search results! You will need to fill in your email which is associated with your Facebook account incase we haven't been able to capture it; in the event of loss of facebook account login and for email reach, so your account always remains safe with you.
  • Select a few interests so we can help you show profiles and business relevant to what you like. You can always update them in the Settings later on.
  • Start off by following some interesting accounts we recommend based on your interests. We will keep giving you suggestions based on who you follow. The more people you follow, the higher your Social Score.
  • Find friends on Facebook & Invite them on Diggmeup. More invites, more your social score and more your profile will be viewed.
  • The account which you logged in with will already be added in yout networks by default.
  • Add more networks by going on to 'manage networks' which can also be found in the settings tab. It will take you to the page hwere all netowrks are listed.

    How do I update profile information like my name, username, and location?
    To update your profile information, including your username and the email address associated with your account:
  • Go to your profile by tapping settings tab.
  • Tap Edit Profile
  • Type in your new name, username, website, location, bio or private information, then tap Done or Save in the top right

    What can I do if a username is already claimed but seems inactive?
  • If a username you want is being used by an account that seems inactive, you can choose an available version of the username to use on Diggmeup.
  • You can add periods, numbers, underscores or abbreviations to help you come up with a username that's not already in use.
  • To change you username, you can edit your profile. Please remember to avoid changing usernames often to avoid confusion to your followers as your username is your identity.

    What's Diggmeup's inactive username policy?
  • We encourage people to log in and use Diggmeup once they create an account.
  • To keep your account active, be sure to log in and share updates and update your profile.
  • Accounts may be permanently removed due to prolonged inactivity.

    What if an account is using my registered trademark as its username?
  • Trademark violations may involve using a company or business name, logo or other trademark-protected materials in a manner that may mislead or confuse others with regard to its brand or business affiliation.

    What is not a violation?
  • Using another's trademark in a way that has nothing to do with the product or service for which the trademark was granted is not a violation of Diggmeup's trademark policy.
  • Note that Diggmeup usernames are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be reserved.

    How to create a Diggmeup profile for my business?
  • Diggmeup profiles are only for personal profiles. If you want to create a Diggmeup account for your business or brand, you need to create a Diggmeup Page.
  • Diggmeup Pages are associated with accounts. You cannot have a Page without opening a personal account. You can add admins to help you manage the page.

    How to switch between Diggmeup Profiles and Pages?
  • Go to your settings and you will find your name on the top with an arrow beside it.
  • Tapping on this will bring down a menu of your profile and pages you own or manage.
  • You can switch your account by tapping the account to you want to go on.

    Log In Screen
    The log in screen lets you create a new account or log into an existing account. Currently you can log in with either a facebook or twitter account

    Home
    Home shows a feed of updates posted by you and the people you follow. You can click on any update to see the networks tagged in it. Clicking a network tagged in an update will open the respective social profile. Learn more about updates here.

    Social Card
    Find your social card in the tab. Social card is an auto generate card with all your social profiles. You can view the social cards of business pages you manage by clicking the top left picture. Learn more about social cards here here.

    Search
    On Search & Explore you can find diggmeup profiles and pages that you might like from accounts you don't yet follow. You may also see suggested and trending pages from us. Learn more about search here

    Profile
    Profile shows your account details like your username, insights, profile (how your profile looks to others), notifications, profiles rated and recently viewed profiles. See tips to help you understand diggmeup better. Learn more about the contents here

    Settings
    In the settings, you can edit profile, manage networks, edit inerests, add new diggmeup page, invite friends, adjust notification settings from the settings page. Shortcuts to sharing social card via email is also provided. You can also log out from here.

    What information can I find on my profile?
  • You can find your name, username, profile photo, cover photo, your followers, people you follow, your bio, your email you want to hi-light, location, your networks, your business pages, your updates, your interests, your rating score and your level.

    What is Pre-fill with twitter during setup?
  • Pre-fill with twitter is a tool where you can use all your profile information of twitter on Diggmeup with the click of a button. You can edit any information you want to change during the profile setup or later.

    How to share a profile?
  • iOS & Android: You can find the to share button (three dots) on the to right corner of the profile. Along with it, you will also get more options to report, rate and copy profile URL.

  • iOS & Android: Tap on the followers / following count on the profile. It will open a list of followers & following.

    How to change my profile and cover picture?
  • iOS & Android: If you navigate to your profile tab , you will find an 'edit profile' button on your cover picture. Tapping the button will take you to the 'edit profile' page where you can tap on your photo or cover image to change it. Alternatively, you can also find 'edit profile' in the settings.

    What is the star with a number on the profile?
  • The star on every profile shows the profile or page rating.

    How to rate a profile?
  • iOS & Android: To rate a profile, tap the star on the cover photo of the profile/page you want to rate. This will open the rating page where you can rate between 0.5 to 5. Please note that rating the same profile repeatedly will register only one rating; i.e the latest one.

    Can I rate the same profile twice?
  • You can rate the same profile twice, but it will still be counted as one rating. The rating value which we will consider will be the latest one.

    What is the medal on the cover photo I see on every profile?
  • The medal with the number on all profiles and pages shows the Diggmeup social level. The number on the medal denotes the level the profile / page is is on. Higher the number, higher the level.

    How do I get more points and level up?
  • All social actions on diggmeup gives you social points! Getting unique clicks on the social networks on your profile, getting unique profile views, rating other profiles and following people gets you social points.

  • Networks are a collection of all your social profiles you would like to display.     Can i make my profile private?
  • You can't make your profile private, but can make individual networks private. You can go to 'manage networks' and select the network you wish to edit. You will find a switch to change between public and private.

  • Pages are Diggmeup business pages for your business, brand, company or product. Pages are similar to profiles, and networks specific to the page can be listed in them. The pages you own or manage are displayed on your Diggmeup Profile.

    What are updates?
  • Updates are text posts you can share, talking about the network you have tagged. You can tell about what you've updated on wha which social networks with updates.

    Why should I update?
  • All networks have their own limitations. For example, Instagram cannot be used to upload an entire album of 100 photos since it is a single feed, but flickr or facebook can. People share different things on different networks and updates is to inform and tell people exactly that.

  • Diggmeup business pages are for your business, brand, company or product. Pages are similar to profiles, and networks specific to the page can be listed in them. The pages you own or manage are displayed on your Diggmeup Profile.

    How to toggle/switch between my profile and pages?
  • Go to your settings and you will find your name on the top with an arrow beside it. Tapping on this will bring down a menu of your profile and pagesyou own or manage.

    How to create a page?
  • iOS & Android: To create a page, go to your settings and tap on 'add a new diggmeup page'. You will get a guided walkthrough telling you how to create a page.
  • Choose a username for your page. This will be your page handle which people can find you and recognise you by. You can later give this out for people to find you directly. Try to have a username which is as close to your brand/business name. Usernames are unique and musn't be changed often eg:@swyde, @clyfartech
  • Choose a Page name. This may be the name of your brand, business, company or organisation. Incase you don't get a username the same as your brand, you have your page name to tell users who you are. Page names aren't unique and can be the same as someone else.
  • Choose a category & Sub category your business page is of. For example, if you own a bakery whose brand is local, choose 'local' as the category and 'Restaurant & Eatery" as sub category. Choosing the correct category will help others to discover you better.
  • Enter your basic information like the primary website, location and a short bio or description of what your brand is about.
  • Edit your profile photo and cover photo to that of your brand / business. We recommend putting your brand / business logo as your page picture.
  • Add networks associated with your brand. The walkthrough will show you how to input one network; after which you can input the rest.
  • Tapping on 'Add Network' will take you to the screen with different network categories. In 'All networks' , you will find all 101 networks listed. In the rest of the categories, networks are listed according to their categories like Social, Messaging, Gaming, Lifestyle, Essential, Contact, Creative, business, payments, dating, shopping and tech networks. Eg: You will find also Facebook and Instagram in the social category, Gmail in the Contact category.
  • After selecting a network, add the URL of your profile (of the respective network) according to the instructions given to list the network to your page. You can add a tittle to that network to give more details about that network.. Click on 'Add' on the top right corner of the screen to add it to your page.
  • Tapping on 'done' will end the walkthrough and will open the settings page where the accounts can be toggled.

    Can I allow others to manage a page I created
  • iOS & Android: Yes, you can allow other's to manage a page you created by making them an admin of your page. First, go to your account and ensure you're on the page whose to the page whose admin you want to add (or switch accounts ) Below in the settings, you will find 'Manage Page Admins' in the list.
  • Tap on 'Manage Page Admins' and search for profile which you wish to make as Admin. Please note that the profile who you wish to make admin should be following the page.

    How to remove an Admin?
  • iOS & Android: Tap on 'Manage Page Admins' in the settings of the page whose admin you want to remove. You will see a list of Admins who are currently managing the page. Left swipe the name and you will see a button to remove the Admin.

    App Details - Updates


    How to Post an update?
  • iOS: Clicking on the plus icon on the top right corner of the home screen lets you post an update. Once the post update screen appears, an update can be written in text within 180 characters. Networks which you are talking about can also be tagged in the update.
  • Android: Clicking on the plus icon on the top right corner of the home screen lets you post an update. Once the post update screen appears, an update can be written in text within 180 characters. Networks which you are talking about can also be tagged in the update.

    How to tag a network in an update?
  • iOS & Android: After opening the post update screen, click the plus button above the keyboard. Click the button 'post' to post the update. The update can be cancelled by clicking on the cross on the top right corner.

    How to view an update in detail?
  • iOS & Android: Go to your home feed or any profile and find the updates. Clicking on the update will open a new screen where you will find the update, the author, the time stamp, the networks tagged and more options. Clicking on the networks tagged will open their social network within the app. You can also delete an update you are an author of.

    What are other links in an update?
  • iOS & Android: Clicking the three dots will give you more options like share. You can share the author's or your own update on social media.

    How to delete an update?
  • iOS & Android: You can only delete those which you've updated. Go to your profile / page (from the profile / page you've updated from) and find your update under your profile. Open the update to the detailed view.You will find the more option (inset icon) which on clicking you will find an option to delete.

    How to like an update?
  • iOS & Android: Tap the heart (inset icon) to like an update. You can like an update in the home feed or in the detailed screen. You will also see the total number of likes on the page. Clicking on the number of likes mentioned will show you the list of people who liked the update.

    How to comment on an update?
  • iOS & Android:Tap the comment button (inset icon) on an update which will open a new page to input your comment. The text input also indicates from which account you are posting the comment from eg: 'posting as cassandra'. If you tap the comment from the home feed, it will open the update in detail after which you need to tap the comment again to open the detailed view.

    How to delete a comment?
  • iOS: Go on the detailed comment screen and right swipe it. You will get an option to delete.
  • Android: Go on the detailed comment screen and tap the delete icon on the right of the comment.

    How to bookmark an update?
  • iOS & Android:Tab the bookmark icon on the update . You can find the list of bookmarks saved in saved content in the 'Me' tab

    How to share my update on social media?
  • iOS & Android: Go to your or the update you wish to share, and select the three dots and you will get an option to share it on the platform you wish. Updates can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Email & messages.

    How to post an update from another page/profile I manage?
  • iOS & Android:You will need to first switch to the desired page / profile you want to post an update from. Go to settings and tap the name on the top header (Select 'switch accounts' in android). You will get a dropdown of the profile/pages associated with the profile. You can toggle it to the desired page or profile you want to post an update from.

    Why should I create a Social Card?
  • Social cards are a summary of your personal or business online identity. It includes the username, social networks, ratings and social score associated with your personal or business page. It is a great way to send across a summary of your online identity. Move over business cards, hello Social Cards!

    How to switch between social cards of my personal accounts and business pages?
  • For iOS & Android: Go to the social card tab and select the picture on the top left of the screen. If you have added or manage any business pages, you will see the dropdown menu.

    How do I share my social cards?
  • iOS & Android: You can share social cards by selecting the share button (three dots). There are many different options to share like email, facebook, twitter, whatsapp, messages and many more. We recommend sharing by email to avoid misplacing of data. You can find the button on the top left side in the social card tab.

    Why is sharing of social cards via email recommended?
  • Because once a social card is shared by email, it gets sent to the recipient as a dynamic html link. So incase you update the links on your profile or change an associated account, the links always get updated and connect to your profile. Besides, your email will never get lost and always will remain in the recipient's email. As we say- business cards get lost, but emails stay forever. One quick search will get your contact details in a jiffy.

    How to share Social Cards via email?
  • iOS & Android:Select the 'share with email' option. Type the email address you wish to send your social card to, or select one of the previous emails sent to in the list below. To add or remove networks you wish to share, click on the 'select networks to share' button. Here you can select or unselect the networks (also private) you wish to share via email. After finishing with the selection send it to the recipient by clicking the 'share social card button'.

    How to share my Social Card on Facebook or Twitter?
  • iOS & Android:Select the share option and find the icon of the network you wish to share.A new window will open with a preview of how your social card will look. You can also add or remove networks you want to share by clicking on the 'select networks to share' button. This will bring up a new screen where you can select and unselect the desired networks. To finally share your social card, press the 'share via ' button on the bottom of the screen which will have the network you wish to share on mentioned.

  • Tapping the search bar will display a list of suggested profiles and pages based on your interests and following patterns. There are profiles we think may interest you so you can follow them on Diggmeup as well as other social media they have listed.

    What are networks?
  • Networks are a collection of all your social profiles you would like to display. This can include the social networks you're on, your email addresses, your phone numbers, payment profiles, apps you own, your professional profiles, restaurant discovery profiles, freelancer's profiles, creative network profiles and many more.   • Adding different networks makes you more discoverable. Especially for entrepreneurs, freelancers, business owners and many more professions who need discoverability. The more networks you put, the more chances of discovery and business. All you need to do is share your Diggmeup username with people you meet and they can get all your details at once. No more sharing different handles for social media!

  • iOS & Android: Clicking on the "View All" opens a screen with the list of all networks.

    How to add Networks?
  • iOS & Android: To add a network to your your profile, tap on 'Manage networks in your settings tab. To add a network to your your page, first make sure you're on the account of the page you want to add the network on. If not, switch between the accounts in the settings tab. Tap on 'Manage Networks', which will open a screen of your existing networks. Tap 'Add a new Network' to open a screen with various categories. You can either select from 'all categories' which has all networks listed with a search function, or select from the individual categories like social, messaging, gaming, contact, business, etc. Selecting a network will open a screen to input details.Each network will have instructions on what link to input for the respective network. After adding a network, you will see it in your network list. You can change the privacy of the network to make it visible only to you or to all.

    How to edit an existing network?
  • iOS & Android:Open 'Manage Networks' from the profile tab whose profile or page you want to edit and tap the network you want to edit from the list of networks you have added. Change the desired details and tap 'save' or the tick on the top right corner.

    How to delete a network?
  • iOS:Open 'Manage Networks' from the profile tab whose profile or page you want to edit, and swipe (from right to left )the network you want to delete from the list of existing networks.
  • Android: Open 'Manage Networks' from the profile tab whose profile or page you want to edit, and choose the network you want to delete from the list of added networks. Once in the network, tap the delete icon on the top right corner.

    Can i make my network private?
  • iOS & Android:You can make the network of a profile or page private. You can go to 'manage networks' and select the network you wish to edit. You will find a switch to toggle between public and private.

    What are Insights?
  • Insights shows you information on the number of unique clicks on your social networks you've added to your profile or page. Getting social clicks & being social gets you points which increases your social score. You will find the total number of social points along with your current social level.

    How do I view my insights?
  • iOS & Android: You canfind your insights in the profile tab . Tap on 'View insights' and you will get a screen with your current social level, your social score, profile/page rating and detailed social clicks.

    What are Social Clicks?
  • Social Clicks are the number of unique clicks on the networks you have added. A social click is registered every time a unique visitor clicks and is redirected to the respective social profile.

  • Yes, profile views are also recorded in the insights.

    What are Social Points?
  • Social points are awarded based on your Social activity on Diggmeup. For example, Social clicks, Profile Views, number of profiles you rate and receive, number of people you follow & have as followers gets you social points.

    How many points am I awarded per action?
  • Every follower gets you 1 point
  • Every profile you follow gets you 1 point
  • Every 10 social clicks gets you 1 point
  • Every profile you rate gets you 10 points
  • Every profile rate you receive gets you 10 points
  • Every 10 profile views gets you 1 point

    What is a Social Level?
  • Depending on the number of Social Points you gather, You will be placed in a Social Level. Social Levels gives you an accurate idea on a person's social standing and influential level. So the more social you are, the higher the social score; higher the social score, higher your Social Level!

    How many Social Levels are there?
  • There are 10 Social Levels. Opening a Diggmeup account and setting up a basic profile gets you social points. Have a look at this chart to see the various levels.

    How to get more points and level up?
  • All social actions on diggmeup gives you social points! Getting unique clicks on the social networks on your profile, getting unique profile views, rating other profiles and following people gets you social points. There social points decide what level you are on and decide your social powers!

    How to view the insights of another page I manage?
  • Got to the settings tab and find the option to switch accounts from the top by tapping on the name of your account on the header bar. Tapping it will show you a list comprising your profile and the pages you own/manage. After switching accounts, go back to the insights and you will find the insights of the respective accounts.
